Found in Haiti on hardwood trunks at elevations around 1800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 4 lepanthiform sheaths with dilated, microscopically ciliate ostia and carrying small, ovate to orbicular, sometimes elliptic, dull deep green above, deep dull purple beneath leaves that blooms in the late spring on a fwe, arising on the bask of the leaf, .2" [5 mm] long, successively 1 to 2, few flowered inflorescnece.
