Found from Panama, Colombia, Ecuador in wet montane cloud forests in tree tops and guava trees as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphytic species from wet montane cloud forests in tree tops at elevations of 600 to 1500 meters with short ramicauls enveloped basally by several, imbricating lepanthiform sheaths carrying a single, apical, pinkish, suborbicular to ovate-suborbicular leaf that blooms on a shorter than the leaf inflorescence and has many minute flowers held near the leaf base occurring throughout the yeart
