Common Name The Little Serial Lepanthes [refers to the scandent habit and its being smaller than L series ]

Flower Size .2" [5 mm]

Found in Napo and Morona-Santiago provinces of Ecuador in cloud forests at elevations around 2100 to 2600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing, scandent epiphyte with a slender, suberect, prolific ramicaul enveloped by 3, ciliate lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, obtuse, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late spring through fall on a filiform, loose, subflexuous, .8" [2 cm] long, successively single, few flowered inflorescence with spiculate, as long as to shorter than the pedicel floral bract.

"This climbing species is closely allied to L series and vegetatively similar other than the leapanthiform sheaths of L serialian are conspicuously ciliate. The racemes are loosely few flowered. The floral parts are less than half the domensions than those of L series. The laterala sepals are denticulate, the petals are transversely oblong, proportionally much larger than L series and the minute blades of thelip are oblong and pubscent. The appendix is oblong and trilobed apically" Luer 1998
