Found in Morona-Santiago Ecuador at elevations around 1500 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing, prolific epiphyte with comparitively stout, erect to suberect, prolific ramicauls enveloped by 7 to 8, ribbed, minutely ciliate, lepanthiform sheaths with minimally dilated ostia and carrying a single, apical, erect, narrowly elliptical, subacute to rounded apically, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, arching, lax, secund, .92" [2.3 cm] long, successively many flowered inflorescence
