Common Name Tuerckheim's Lepanthes [German Orchid Collector in Mexico 1800's]

Found in Guatemala at elevations around 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 5 lepanthiform sheaths with minutely ciliate ostia and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, obovate, obtuse, attenuate below intothe petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a filiform, glabrous, laxly, 2 to 4.4" [5 to 11 cm] long, few to several flowered inflorescence and is a natural hybrid between L guatemalensis and L verapazensis
