Common Name Vareschi's Lepanthes [Austrian Original Collector of the type specimen 1900's]

Flower Size .15" [3 mm]

Found in north western Venezuela in upper elevation rainforests at elevations around 2500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphtye with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 5 lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, green on top, purple beneath, elliptic, obtuse, minutely tridenticulate apically, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a twisted so as to appear on the back of the leaf, successively single, elongating, few flowered inflorescence
