Found in Cochabamba department of Bolivia in riverine forests and cloud forests at elevations around 2450 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by around 6 to 7, close fitting, shortly but densely ciliate lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical-ovate, acute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the early summer on a congested, disitichous, .48 to .56" [1.2 to 1.4 cm] long including the .16 to .24" [4 to 6 mm] long peduncle, successively many flowered inflorescence arising on the back of the leaf with muriculate floral bracts.
