Found in Panama at elevations around 2150 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a terete, erect stem carrying 9, oblong-lanceolate to elliptic-lanceolate, acute, thinly fleshy, petilalte base leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, pubescent, 8" [20 cm] long overall, peduncle 3.08" [7.7 cm] long, crowded, subfoliose, acute bracts, rachis 4.8" [12 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence.
