Found in western Java and Sumatra at elevations around 1600 as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with flattened, angular, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying 1 to 2, erect, narrowly lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the base leaves that blooms in the fall on a thin, short, 10 to 15 flowered inflorescence.

CAUTION This species and L spiralipetala are closely related. The species photo used for L spiralipetala could be this species and this one could be L spiralipetala, I do not have the proper references, so please use with caution. I am fairly sure that these two species are one of these two determinations, I am just not positive as to which ones are which.
