Found in Sumatra on Mt Kerinci in montane forests at elevations of 1500 to 1600 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with close set pseudobulbs carrying 4 apical, jointed, oblong-elliptic, very shortly auminate, acute leaves that blooms on a longer than the leaves, peduncle 1.4 to 1.8" [3.5 cm] long, rachis angled, 4.8 to 10.8" [12 to 27 cm] long, laxly, successively single, many flowered inflorescence with persistent, triangular, acuminate, hairy margin floral bracts and carrying light to reddish brown flowers that face in all directions.
