Common Name The Nodding Petal Liparis

Flower Size 3/8" [1 cm]

Found in southern Philippines as an epiphyte and lithophyte in shady forests with year round rainfall and constant high humidity, with pear-shaped pseudobulbs enveloped by distichous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, narrowly oblong-lanceolate, acute leaf that blooms in the summer, fall and winter on a apical, up to 12" [30 cm] long, erect, densly many flowered inflorescence. Year round moisture, good light and air circulation as well as cool to warm temperatures please this species.
