Found in Madagascar in clay soils at elevations around 1600 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cool growing terrestrial with short, subglobose to ovoid pseudobulbs the newest carrying 2 oblong to elliptic-acute, gradually attenuate-petiolate base leaves that blooms in the early summer on an erect, half as long as the leaves, peduncle 1 to 1.4" [2.5 to 3.5 cm] long, rachis to 2.8" [7 cm] densely 10 to 20 flowered inflorescence.
