Common Name The Benguet Liparis [an area of north western Luzon the Philippines]

Found on Luzon in the Philippines at elevations of 700 to 2300 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte withpear-shaped, close set pseudobulbs carrying narrowly lanceolate, rounded apically, deciduous, jointed to an elongate persistent base leaves that blooms in the fall, winter and spring on an erect, longer than the leaves, 5.2 to 6.4" [13 to 16 cm] long overall, bractless, flattened on opposite sides, strongly winged, rachis to .8 to 2.4" [2 to 6 cm] long overall, successively single, several flowered inflorescence with 2 ranked, sharply projected floral bracts.
