Common Name The Short Lip Liparis

Found in Sri Lanka in submontane to tropical wet evergreen forests at elevations around 1200 to 1850 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing terrestrial terrestrial with a somewhat basally thickened, stem-like pseudobulb carrying 2, ovate, 5 veined, crisp margin, acute to acuminate, abruptly narrowing into the sessile or short petiolate base leaves that blooms on an erect, slender, shortly pedunculate, 2 to 3" [5 to 7.5 cm] long, laxly, several flowered inflorescence with persistent, not-refl;exed, spreading, ovate, acutee floral bracts and carrying small, purple flowers.
