Common Name The Cape Liparis [refers to it's occurence with in Cape Province South Africa]

Found in SW & S Cape Province South Africa in sandy soils, and in forests among rocks lower elevations as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with ovoid pseudobulbs usually buried in sand and soil and carrying 2, apical, spreading, thick, leathery, ovate leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on an erect, terminal, [2 to 6 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence
