Found in west central and southcentral New Caledonia on rocky banks at elevations around 500 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing litho-terrestrial or occasional epiphyte with a few dusty light green, ovate-elliptic, acute, basal clasping leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on a brown, erect, long pedunculate, few to several flowered inflorescence
