Found in northern Madagascar in humid forests at elevations around 800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte terrestrial with a small pseudobulb carrying 2 to 3, elongate, ligulate, subacute, attenuate towards the base leaves that blooms in the late spring on an erect, shorter than the leaves, 1.2 to 2.4" [3 to 6 cm] long, densely 15 to 20 flowered inflorescence with narrow, slightly shorter than the pedicel floral bracts.
