Found in southeastern Madagascar on shaded and humid rocks at elevations of 1500 to 2400 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte or lithophyte with oblong-compressed, ancipitous pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 5, oblong-lanceolate leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, rachis longer than the peduncle, 2 to 4" [5 to 10 cm] long overall, 10 to 20 flowered inflorescence with narrowly lanceolate equalling to slightly longer than the pedicel floral bracts and carrying yellowish flowers.
