Found in Taiwan in forests at elevations of 1800 to 2000 meters as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with clustered, ovoid pseudobulbs enveloped by 2 to 3, membraneous sheaths and carrying 2, nat articulate, ovate to oblong, obtuse apically, contracted below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, 11.2 to 20" [23 to 40 cm] long, 3 ridged, laxly 10 to 20 flowered inflorescence with triangular, acute apically floral bracts.
