Found in the Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, Gulf of Guinea Islands, Rwanda, Zaire and Uganda in large forest trees at elevations of 1000 to 2500 meters as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphytic orchid with clustered ovoid, partially enveloped below by a single, small sheath and carrying 1 to 2, apical, parallel sided, basally tapering, apically bilobed, with an abaxial keel that ends in an hooked apiculum leaves that blooms on a terminal erect, 2 to 4" [5 to 10 cm] long, 5 to 10 flowered inflorescence
