Common Name The Fantastic Liparis
Flower Size .4" [1 cm] wide
Found in Guerrero, Oaxaca and Chiapas states of Mexico and Guatemala in moss covered ground beneath young cypress trees, rooted very shallowly among decaying leaf litter at elevations around 2900 to 3000 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with an erect, grading thinner towards the apex stem enveloped basally by 2 to 3, tubular, semi-inflated sheathcarrying a single, apical, cordate leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, short, several flowered inflorescence carrying deep marrooon colored flowers with a green column.
