Common Name The Fan-Shaped Liparis [refers to the lip]
Flower Size 1.1" [2.75 cm] long
Found in western New Guinea in lower montane forests at elevations around 800 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with close set, very small pseudobulbs carrying a single, erect, narrowly lanceolate, gradually acuminate, underneath with c. 5 prominent nerved, gradually narrowed and conduplicate towards the base leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, arising through an acutely acuminate, .8" [2 cm] long spathe, peduncle 22.4" [56 cm] long, rachis c. 1.96" [4.8 cm] long, laxly few to about 6 flowered inflorescence with linear-lanceolate, acute floral bracts.
