Common Name The Humped Liparis

Flower Size to 3/8"

Found in the Indian subcontinent, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indochina, Pennisular Malaysia, Borneo, Java, Sumatra, New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Samoa, Vanuatu, Fiji, Sulawesi and New Caledonia on mountain ridges at elevations around 200 to 1900 meters as a small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte on trees on cliff faces or lithophyte on rocks with small compressed, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, linear, acute leaf blooming in the summer and fall on a 6" long, flattened, imbricating inflorescence with 2 ranked bracts and carrying many successive flowers with mostly one [often called L mucronata by mistake] or 2 at a time.
