Found in New Guinea in secondary forest on lake shore at elevations around 2400 to 2800 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a creeping, terete, elongate rhizome enveloped by 3, inflated, papery, braoadly ovate-lanceolate sheaths giving rise to cylindrical, 1 to 2.8" [2.5 to 7 cm] between each pseudobulb carrying 2 to 3, erect, thin, linear, acute-acuminate with an arisita leaves that blooms in the fall, winter through mid spring on an angular, narrowly winged, 7.2 to 8.48" [18.8 to 21.2 cm] long overall, peduncle 3.6 to 4.6" [9 to 11.5 cm] long, provided with sheathing bracts, rachis 3.72 to 4.88" [9.3 to 12.2 cm] long, sublaxly 13 to 20 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute floral bracts and carrying flowers with the tepals green and the lip and apex of column darker green.
