Found in Borneo in lowland riverine and primary forests at elevations of sealevel to 400 meters as a medium sized, hot growing terrestrial with a cylindric pseuedobulb carrying a single, broadly ovate, acute basally clasping leaf that blooms in the winter and summer on an erect, terminal, well spaced, several flowered inflorescence with color variable flowers that last about 10 days
