Common Name The Broadly Cuneate Liparis [refers to the cordate leaf base]

Flower Size .4" [1 cm]

Found in Ecuador, Bolivia and Peru on mossy rocks in shade of large trees at elevations around 1860 to 2950 meters as a small to medium sized, cool to cold growing, prostrate, repent, occasionally branching epiphyte or terrestrial with an elongate, prostrate then ascending, obviously noded, scaley stem carrying a single [for each node], ovate, acute to acuminate, cordate, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late spring through later summer on a lateral, erect, racemose, to 3" [7.5 cm] long, successively few, subdenselymany flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute floral bracts and carrying pale greenish-yellow to greenish flowers.

Vegetatively similar to L brachystalix Florally siimilar to L elegantula.
