Common Name The Broad Lip Liparis - In China Kuo Chun Yang Er Suan

Found in Yunnan province of China and north Vietnam on trees or rocks along valleys at elevations around 1200 to 1800 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte with close set,narrowly ovoid to narrowly ovoid-cylindric pseudobulbs carrying 2, membraneous, articulate, oblanceolate to linear-oblanceolate, acuminate, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on an erect, often more or less narrowly winged, 8 to 14" [35 cm] long, 10 to many flowered inflorescence with narrowly lanceolate floral bracts.
