Found only in New Caledonia in scrub forests and between rocks as a small sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial or lithophyte with round, fleshy, slightly elongated pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, occasionally grey green, oblong, abtuse leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, 5 to 15 flowered inflorescence
