Found in Vietnam on mossy cliffs or steep slopes in primary evergreen, mixed and coniferous forests, commonly on mossy pillows at elevations of 1200 to 1400 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte, lithophyte or occasional terrestrial with a thin rhizome close set, narrowly ovoid to ovoid, often slightly oblique pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, oblanceolate, herbaceous, triangular acute apically, conduplicate below, tapering towards the base leaves that blooms in the fall on a slender, straight to arching to pendulous, indistinctly secund, wingless to very narrowwinged, peduncle 4.8 to 10.4" [12 to 26 cm] long, provided with 1 to 14, sterile, linear to narrowly triangular, conduplicate, acuminate bracts, rachis 2 to 4.8" [5 to 12 cm] long, laxly, 3 to 12 flwoered inflorescence with linear, narrowly triangular, often subulate, membraneous, light greenish to almost white much shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
