Common Name The Yellow Liparis - In China Huang Hua Yang Er Suan

Found in Bangladesh, India, Assam, the eastern Himalayas, Myanmar, northern Thailand, Vietnam and Hainan province of China on trees or rocks in forests at elevations around 500 to 2900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte or lithophyte with somewhat close set, subovoid pseudobulbs carrying 2, membraneous, articulate, linear to linear-oblanceolate, acuminate, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on an erect, somewhat compressed, narrowly winged, 2.4 to 6.4" [6 to 16 cm] long, several to 10 flowered inflorescence with narrowly lanceolate floral bracts carrying whitish, green to yellowish green flowers.
