Common Name The Mount Merapi Liparis [A Mountain in Sumatra]

Found in west Sumatra at elevations around 600 to 2000 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a very short rhizome giving rise to narrowly oblong, slightly flattened, narrowing towards the apex pseudobulbs carrying a single, more or less erect, elliptic to strap-shaped, narrwoign below into the base leaf that blooms on a terminal, erect, angular, peduncle terete, longer than the leaves, 8.8" [22 cm] long overall, laxly 10 to 20 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
