Found in Tanzania and Zambia in upland grasslands usually in rocky places at elevations of 1600 to 3000 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial or lithophyte with subterraean pseudobulbs carrying 2, arising at ground level, slightly coriaceous, ovate, acute leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, 1.6 to to 2.6" [4 to 6.5 cm] long, subtended by a solitary sheath, more or less 10 flowered inflorescence with acuminate, as long as the ovary floral bracts.
