Common Name The Sambirano Liparis [an area in the northwest coast of Madagascar]

Flower Size

Found in northern Madagascar in forests at elevations of 200 to 1000 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with 2 pseudobulbs, the older obliquely divaricate, narrow and elongate, the newest with 3 to 4 elliptical-acuminate, plicate, attenuate below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on an erect, as long as to slightly longer than the leaves, 4.4 to 8" [11 to 20 cm] long overall, rachis to 2.4" [6 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with herbaceous, as long as to a bit shorter than the pedicel floral bracts.
