Found in southern Yunnan province of China, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand in forests at elevations of 330 to 1500 meters as a miniature sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying 2, ovate, obtuse gradually narrowing below into the basally clasping base that blooms in the summer on an erect, thin, 3" [7.5 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with all the flowers held towards the apex.
This terrestrial species was photographed in situ in northern Thailand in June of 2001.
