Found in central and northcentral New Caledonia in dense semi-shaded montane forests at elevations around 1000 meters as a mini-mniature to miniature sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with a short pseudobulb enveloped entirely by leaf sheth bases carrying elliptic-lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the later fall on an erect, 2.8 to 5.6" [7 to 14 cm] long, rachis .8 to 2" [2 to 5 cm] long, 5 to 10 flowered inflorescence
