Common Name Bennett's Lockhartia [Peruvian Orchid Enthusiast- current]

Flower Size .6" [1.8 cm]

Found in Amazonas department of Peru as a small to just medium sized, hot growing epiphyte in wet tropical forests at elevations of 500 to 700 meters with a 12" elongate stem completely enveloped by many, imbricating, distichous, basally clasping, rather small basally, ovate to triangular, boat-shaped, apically larger, completely conduplicate, acute to beak-like apice leaves where it blooms in the late fall and winter on an axillary, single flowered 1.2" [3 cm] long inflorescence arising from near the apex of the pendant stem.
