Found in Costa Rica, Panama, Choco' department of Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru at elevations around 200 meters as a miniature to small sized, pendant, hot growing epiphyte with elongate, pendant stems enveloped completely by imbricate leaf-bearing sheaths with each carrying an elongate-triangular, acute, "y"-shaped in crossection leaf that blooms on an axillary, towards the apex, 1/2" [1.25 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a few bracts
