Common Name The Compact Lockhartia

Flower Size .28 to .32" [7 to 8 mm]

Found in Bolivia in forests at elevations around 1350 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with straight, descending, more or less rigid stems enveloped completely by 20 to 24, laterally flattened, triangular in side view, acute to obtuse apically leaves that blooms in the winter on an axillary [probably terminal as well], .2 to .38" [5 to 9 mm] long, successively 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence with amplexicaul, infundibuliform, cordate, acute when flattened floral bracts and carrying resupinate, wide open flowers with yellow with scant brown markings at the base of the lateral lobes of labellum and dark brown at base of column; labellar callus pale brown.
