Common Name The Two-Ribbed Lockhartia

Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm]

Found in Costa Rica in premontane rain forests at elevations of 1200 to 1400 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect to pendulous, laterally flattened stems enveloped completely by imbricating, equitant leaf bases carrying distichous, triangular acute, subcoriaceous leaves that blooms in the late fall and earlier winter on a small, terminal to subterminal, paniculate 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence with cordate bracts

Some references give this species name as a synonym of L amoena but it has a much more cowl-like wings to the column
