Common Name The Rough Leaved Lockhartia
Flower Size .24 to .44" [6 to 1.1 cm]
Found in Amazonas Peru on the eastern side of the Andes at elevations around 1200 to 1600 meters as a pendulous, small to large sized, cool growing epiphyte with pendulous, more or less flexible stems carrying 38 to 72, marcescent, unifacial, laterally flattened, narrowly triangular in side view, acute, rugulose-fovelate leaves that blooms at most any time of the year on an axillary and or terminal, to 11 per stem, rachis mostly enveloped by bracts, exposed portion .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] long, more or less sequentially, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescnece with amplexicaul, conduplicate, narrowly triangular to ovate, acute, scarious floral bracts and carrying pendulous to resupinate, campanulate flowers.
