Found in Junin department of Peru at elevations around 2100 meters as a small sized, cold growing epiphyte with stems enveloped completely by distichous, imbricating leaf bases carrying distichous, bilaterally compressed, sigmoid in side view, acute, hyaline margined leaves that blooms in the summer and early fall on an axillary, subsessile, single flowered inflorescence with tubular, acute, ovate floral bracts and carrying yellow campanulate flowers.
