Found in Guerrero and Oaxaca Mexico in pedegral forests at elevations of 1900 to 2100 meters as a small to medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with reddish leaves that blooms in the fall and earlier winter on a shorter than the leaves, few flowered inflorescence with short, ovate bracts.
