Found in southern Taiwan in in thickets along the seashore on tree trunks at elevations around 200 to 500 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with an unbranched stem carrying terete, acute leaves that blooms in the winter on 1 to 2, axillary, short, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence with distichous, broadly ovate, acute floral bracts
