Found in Thailand, Malaysia and Java at elevations of 300 to 1500 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with no pseudobulbs but close set, square in crossection, stems that can lie along the ground before turning upwards and carrying 3 to 4, plicate, gradually narrowing below in to the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, several [7 to 10] flowered inflorecence
