Found in southern Yunnan province of China and Myanmar in open forests on tree trunks at elevations of 600 to 1900 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with an ascending, rigid stem carrying a few, terete, obtuse basally clasping leaves that blooms in the spring through early summer on a short to .4" [1 cm] long, stout, often 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with broadly ovate, fleshy, obtuse floral bracts carrying fleshy flowers
