Found in Vietnam in primary evergreen, broad-leaved, montane forests commonly on tall mossy trees at elevations of 1400 to 1600 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with an erect to ascending, rigid, semi-woody, rather straight stem carryiong 2 to 6, straight to fully arching, held towards the apex of the stem, more or less spirally arranged, obtuse leaves that blooms in the fall on an opposite of the leaves, .16 to .32" [4 to 8 mm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with broadly triangular, shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying rather wide open, reddish brown, rather thick flowers.
