Common Name The Clawed Luisia

Flower Size .4 to .6" [1 to 1.5 cm]

Found on Timor of the Lesser Sunda Islands in littoral forest at elevations below 100 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with a monopodial, erect, robust, terete stem enveloped by leaf bases carrying terete, apiculate, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the winter on 1 to 2 per leaf axil, extra axillary, erect, peduncle very short, .24 to .28" [.6 to .7 cm] long overall, rachis densely, successively single, 4 to 6 flowered inflorescence with persistent, amplexicaul, broadly triangular less than half as long as the ovary floral bracts.
