Common Name The Sri Lankan Luisia

Flower Size .28 to .32" [7 to 8 mm]

Found in Sri Lanka, India, eastern Himalayas, Assam, Nepal, western Himalayas, Bangladesh, Andaman Islands, Nicobar Islands and Myanmar on tops of hills in evergreen forests at eleavtions of 200 to 800 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing monopodial epiphyte with an erect stem enveloped completely by leaf sheath bases carrying terete leaves tapering a few centimeters before the apex, that blooms in the early spring on axillary, short, .36" [9mm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence.
