Common Name Niessen's Lycaste [Andrea Niessen - Colombian Orchid Enthusiast and Nursery Owner Current]

Found in SW Colombia in grasslands and on grassy roadside embankments as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte as a naturally occuring terrestrial hybrid between L schilleriana and L occulta. This is a varied hybrid as may be expected when the parents are so different in size so can have inflorescence that differ in size from 3.4" to 4.6".

Found in Colombia and has a rose colored lip and is variety of the previous species
