Common Name or Meaning Regnel's Macradenia [Swedish Physisist and Orchid Collector in Brazil 1800's]

Found in the Mantiqueira Rain Forest Mountains of Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo State Brazil at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters as a minaiture sized, cool to warm growing epiphyte with egg-shaped to oblong, slightly flattened pseudobulbs enveloped basally by distichous, overlapping sheaths and carrying erect to spreading, fleshy to leathery elliptic to oblong, rigid leaves that narrow below to being conduplicate and forms a short petiolate-like base that blooms in the spring in Brazil on a 3.2 to 3.5" [8 to 9 cm] long, slightly flexuous, terete, basal, several [8 to 10] flowered inflorescenceeinflorescence
